Wearing an unkempt coat, Woolly Mammoths are an echo of elephants.

Woolly Mammoths were herbivores that lived in a cold, harsh climate. They kept warm with long, thick hair and woolly underfur. Almost ten feet tall at the shoulder, these massive mammals weighed three tons. Other characteristic features on both males and females included twin ivory tusks, a long trunk with finger-like projections at the tip, big ears, and a sloped back. Mammoths used their tusks to move snow from areas of vegetation. Moving together as a herd, Woolly Mammoths migrated from place to place in search of food.
Fun Facts: The shaggy coat of a mammoth was one yard long.
