Being best friend with Ashes, Howzat, is always trying to get a game started with the island inhabitants. He has an uncanny ability to recall all the stats of Australia's greatest players. No-one has been able to stump him yet either on or off the field.

This fabulous French Canadian Bear decided to stay in Beanie Island after a recent visit by his circus group. He now spends his time giving acrobatic lessons to the island inhabitants, who love the idea of mixing exercise with art.

The younger of the twins, Snug-A-Bub was quite small when he was born and needed a little extra care, something that Nurse Grace is eager to assist with. The added attention and with help from his twin sister, Hug-a-Bub, Snug-A-Bub has grown lots but he still likes his little blanket wrapped nice and tight to keep him warm and feeling secure.

Wife of Hendrik (although she did date Axel for a short time), Helga is certainly a strong and forceful woman. No-one messes with Helga, especially when they see her carrying arms full of wood, that she has just finished chopping for the stove so that she can cook up a storm. Helga also does surprisingly have a beautiful singing voice and you can often hear her singing as she works.

Achy is the latest accident prone Beanie Kid on to take up residence on the Island. He always seems to be down at the local clinic being fixed up for one reason or another. Luckily Achy is a quick healer and is soon back out getting into mischief. He is also a great friend of Ouch - which is not surprising considering how much time they spend in hospital together.

Oohlaroo is an Aussie who has been living in rain forests of the top end all his life before heading to Beanie Island. He has an affinity with the Aboriginal people and has absorbed their culture into his everyday living and enjoys teaching the other Beanie Kids about this way of life.
